Do I need to book an appointment?
We do indeed work on an appointment only basis to ensure you have the most perfect bridal experience.
You will have your very own dedicated stylist to look after you and match you to the most exquisite dresses for your special day.
How long will my appointment take?
Your first visit to the studio will take up to 90minutes - especially when celebrating finding your one with us.
Second Looks, Matching your Accessories and Your LA Dress Collection appointments take around 30-45minutes.
When should I find my dress?
Around 12-18months before your special day is the perfect amount of time to relax and enjoy your bridal journey, whilst also having the newly designed dress edits for your wedding year here with us to choose from.
Your dress will usually take around 5-6months to be made and delivered – depending on your chosen style and designer.
Your final seamstress alterations usually begin around 6-8 weeks prior to your wedding date.
If your wedding is coming up soon don’t worry we have lots of gorgeous styles available on a quicker delivery.
We also have our sister store – Sisters of Grace Bridal Outlet which is filled with incredible designer gowns all available off the peg for under £1500.
How many guests can join me?
Due to the layout and space within our lounge, we would recommend up to 2-3 guests joining you whose support means the most.
This keeps your experience super focused, relaxed and not overwhelming with opinions.
What is your price range?
Our Designer gowns that are made to order range from £1500-2800.
During your bridal consultation we will chat through your ideal spend for your dream dress.
What sizes do you stock?
We carry a mix of sizes UK18–32. Your stylist will show you how each gown will fit when ordered in the right size based on your measurements.
Some styles may need pinning in or out - your stylist will guide you throughout.
Please note: bridal sizing runs smaller than the high street, so expect to wear 1–2 sizes up.
How many dresses will I try on?
Your stylist will begin with a personal consultation, then help you choose 3–4 gowns to start.
Most brides try 5–10 dresses during their 90-minute appointment, including purchasing time.
How does payment work?
A 50% deposit is required to confirm your dress order with your designer.
The remainder 50% balance is due within 14days of your bridal gown being delivered in-store.
Alteration services are confirmed and paid directly to your chosen seamstress.
Will my dream dress need final alterations?
We have our recommended seamstress team that we can pop you in touch with, as every dress requires final touches to perfect the fit.
We will give you all of the teams details whilst you're with us, so that you can book your fittings directly around your diary.
Can I take pictures wearing the dresses?
You can take pictures of your favourite styles whilst trying on and your stylist can assist with the best angled shots.
Remember the sample size may not fit perfectly and sometimes your guest angles aren't the best for showing your dream dress as it would be on the day - take this into account when looking back over images.
Can I get a refund or exchange?
All of our gowns and accessories are made to order, taking up to 6 months to be made & arrive with us at our showroom.
Our designers cannot offer any refunds or exchanges once your order is placed - It's so important to find your dream dress when you feel 110% ready to commit.
Do you have accessories to choose from?
Yes — we offer a mix of bridal accessories that are handmade to order - Veils, hair accessories, neck scarfs and more.
Is there parking nearby?
There are 3 on street parking bays to the front entrance of our showroom - these are pay and display available either with a cash or Pay by Phone payment online, along with a disabled parking bay. There are multiple outdoor and multi story carparks nearby including Oxford Street multi story which is at the rear of our townhouse and can be paid for with an app.
How Accessible is the LA lounge?
Our Love Above Curve Lounge is based on the second floor of our Grade 2 listed building. There is on street disabled parking outside.
We have an accessible bathroom at ground level. Our fitting suites are based on the first and second floors of the building, however we can offer alternative options if required – please contact us in advance to discuss further at hello@yapbridal.co.uk
